John Miller

John is the Founder and CIO at Real-CIO Consulting, providing Interim CIO Services for companies between IT Leadership and Virtual CIO Services to small and mid-sized companies that cannot justify a full-time CIO to ensure technology drives business growth and success. John mentors and provides Executive Coaching to Professionals at all levels to take their careers to the next level. Real-CIO Consulting was founded to “Pay IT Forward” and give back to a very rewarding career. John is a published expert in the fields of Technology, Management, and Leadership with articles published in CIO Review, and regularly in Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Made in PA, as well as with his published book Four Steps Up – Climbing the Mountain to Your Career Success.

John previously held Executive Leadership positions at American Textile where he was awarded the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Enterprise CIO of the year in 2011, and at Equitable Gas and Xerox Professional Services over his 40+ years as an IT Professional. John earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA from Robert Morris University.
